Hey Busy Lady! Relax!

Hello everyone!  First I've been just itching to tell you all more exciting news... Ann aka Raindrop Echo, designer for Whimsy Stamps, has picked me along with several other ladies to join her design team at Sentimental Sundays!  I'm happy to be starting off with this week's challenge #58, which is "Inspired by Song".

I used to have my crafting playlist up on my blog, but I removed it some time ago because it was making the page load time too long.  But while I thought of a lot of inspiring songs, the ones that seemed most appropos right now are "Relax Max" by Dinah Washington, and "Relax" by Mika.
For your listening pleasure.....

The image I've chosen to go along with this theme reminds me very much of my Gran; she was always busy busy busy and I remember her so many times going around the house with her hair tied up just like this gal has.  I enjoyed thinking of Gran while making this card; she passed away just over a week ago after a very wonderful and full and beautiful life.  I like to remember her in her active, spunky years.  So I suppose in a way this card was therapeudic.  There's nothing like smiling to heal a hurt.  But truly, I am glad that she's with the Lord and all her loved ones whom she missed so much.

Here is my song and Gran-inspired card:

Detail of that awesome vintage image... don't we all feel like this sometimes?

Here are the other challenges:

My Time to Craft #143 "So Funny" - I thought the irony of this image / sentiment combo might bring some very busy friend a smile :)
Flourishes Timeless Tuesday #120 "Cranberry, Caramel, Brown"
Fab N' Funky "What 'eva"

Materials Used on this Card:
Cardstock {Papertrey Ink}

Also before you go, I want to remind everyone about my new FREE digital sketches, which will be available here starting tomorrow, Monday June 6th!  I will post new sketches each Monday from now on.  You will be welcome to use the sketches for your projects; all I ask is that you link back to me and let everyone know where you got the sketch.  Cool?  You bet.  So...

Here's a sample of what you can expect:

Next, starting next month (July), on the first Saturday of the month I'll be hosting the

Treetop Monthly Challenge

a tree-themed challenge, right here on Kitchen Table Crafter.  You will have all month to play along, can enter as many times as you like, and will have a chance at winning prizes.  Sound fun?  I'll look forward to seeing you then!  So mark your calendars and get ready to be inspired by our green leafy friends.

I think that's it for today; see you tomorrow morning bright and early with my first free Digi Sketch!

Live well,
