I have been absolutely blown away by the cards posted last week and this week already at 2S4Y. There are some really amazing cards there and a lot of hard work put in by all. I hope to be back soon with another card based on Kazan's sketch for this week, but for now, here's my entry for the Top 30 competition, based on Kazan's sketch for us:
I LOVE big scallops (er, including the seafood kind too... ;), so this sketch was a real treat to work with! I apologize for the first photo being a little dark... it is rainy here this morning and I can't get the lighting quite right... Here is my interpretation:
And some more detailed images:
Supplies:
Patterned papers from My Mind's Eye
Brown Kraft paper
Textured cardstock from DCWV Bright stack
Stamps from Gemstone Flourish set (Inkadinkado) and Thoreau quote by Inkadinkado (bee image cut off of top)
Natural cotton twine (wrapped to make frame)
Assorted Brown buttons
Spellbinders Nestabilities and Cuttlebug
Fabric flowers from Spare Parts
Archival black ink
Tools:
compass (for large scallops)
X-acto blade
As always, thank you so much for stopping by,
and have a wonderful morning and afternoon all!
