With Sympathy Butterflies

This one is also for the current Embellish Challenge, as well as Flutterby Wednesday #111.  I must admit that this particular Embellish challenge really sparked my creativity--challenges that include a very limited color palette and one theme element to focus on tend to do that for me, so after a manner of speaking, it's started a "perfect storm" of productivity at my craft table! :)
 Materials used on this card:

Gatefold card base and textured green cardstock {DCWV}
Textured black cardstock {The Paper Studio}
Patterned paper {My Mind's Eye}
Kraft cardstock {Papertrey Ink}

Rub-on border: MiniMARKS Accesories Book 3 {American Crafts}
Sentiment stamp {Papertrey Ink}
Ink: Archival Black {Ranger}

Classic Butterfly Punch {Martha Stewart}

I also intended to convey some symbolism with this sympathy card; I believe that death is simply a part of the Father's plan for us, and is the passage into another stage of our eternal existence.  Hence the butterflies, which undergo metamorphosis from one stage to another in their life cycle, are a symbol of hope through change--even difficult, redefining change.

Thanks for visiting!

Have a great day,
--Kathryn
